It’s determined all 16 grand-masters, who will take part in IV World Blitz Chess Championship in Almaty, November 7-8. World Blitz champion of 2007, third number in current FIDE rating Vassiliy Ivanchuk and World Blitz champion of 2006, great Russian blitz-player Alexander Grischuk are among them. Also there are favorite sportsmen Alexander Morozevitch, Gata Kamsky, Tejmur Radjabov, Judith Polgar and others.
Specialists and fancies of chess said, that the competitors of the IV World Chess championship are the most battle-worthy.
Specialists said that the strongest players of this tournament are Vassiliy Ivanchuk from Ukraine and Alexander Grischuk from Russia – the winners of previous world blitz championships. Vassiliy Ivanchuk is known as player possessed by chess even among his colleagues. He can play with chess fancy even after difficult final game of chess. Alexander Grischuk like to play poker to take a rest from chess. One more great figure of future championship is Alexander Morozevitch, the second number of current FIDE rating. Vladimir Kramnik said that he likes to watch Sasha playing. “Musketeer” Morozevitch likes risky debuts, rash attacks, sacrifices and sharp continuations.
Two more names , which can shake chess world in November are 21 years old Teimur Radjabov from Azerbaijan and former soviet grand-master now living in USA Gata Kamsky. When he was 15 years old Teimur won Garry Kasparov with black pieces. Now he is on 8 place in FIDE rating (after Levon Aronian and Vladimir Kramnik). Gata Kamsky left chess on 10 years after was beat by Anatoliy Karpov in 1996, but now he is on the top of sports form.
One lady will fight with men on this championship. Legendary Hungarian chess-player Judith Polgar never played with women! She competes with men and once was in Top 10 of men’s FIDE rating. Madam Polgar already had been in Almaty. She played in blitz-tournament in 1995 and shared first place with Anatoliy Karpov.
