Alexander Morozevitch (Russia)Alexander Morozevitch (18.07.1977, Moscow). Alexander Sergeevitch – is “Pushkin” of chess! “… he plays with great resourcefulness. It’s pleasure to watch his game.” This is the opinion of championship’s commentator Nigel Short. Vladimir Kramnik says about Alexander: “Morozevitch is bright chess-player. I like him playing. It’s active chess – only go forward! Sometimes he is successful, sometimes – not. It’s not boring to watch his games of chess.” Ex-world champion had to stop chess-watches and to acknowledge his defeat in duel with Morozevitch two times in this year. Alexander is extra-class specialist, who plays romantic chess, doesn’t stop in facing of risky debuts, sacrifices, sharp continuations. And inspite of this he collected high scores percent! That’s why Alexander is welcome guest in any team and has a lot of victories in World Olympiads, European champions’ cups, different national leagues. Alexander Morozevitch is obligatory participant of super tournaments in Linares, Wijk aan Zee, Moscow, Sofia.  Morozevitch  is one of the obvious favorites of this championship.
